Become a Chocolate Hero | Poolesville Seniors

Have you ever wondered what goes into a chocolate bar? Not just how it's made but literally, what are they putting in there?? In this class, you'll become your own Chocolate Hero! For your $15 class fee here's what you'll get:

How cacao goes from pod to confection
A little history of the cacao bean and traditional uses
Chocolate as a vehicle for the best-ever superfoods
Get creative: learn a few tricks and ideas to make chocolate candies fun and affordable
In class chocolate tasting and samples.
Join Maureen Ivusic on Saturday, December 6, 2025, to explore the world of chocolate and superfoods. Kits for sale at the event for the special event price of $10 (one kit per registration). Chocolate kits make great gifts! Place an order for additional kits at $20 per kit. Kit includes the chocolate recipe in a mason jar and a chocolate candy mold.

Maureen can't wait to share her love of chocolate with you! She is the owner of Chocolate and Chi and has been making her own chocolates for 7 years. Her goal is to share delicious ways to make eating healthy. She has worked with David Wolfe's to develop his online course 'Making Chocolate at Home'.

Tickets to attend are $15. Poolesville Seniors is pleased to supplement the cost of this event to make participation affordable through generous donation.
